But the 32-year-old—who and has repped Hollywood and Wall Street giants—sees another deal from this year as the one that defines his career: representing the seller of a $50 million Miami mansion, the most lucrative deal in the city’s history. What makes that so special to Alexander? He represented that same client when they bought the home in 2012, for a then-record $47 million.
“It's great to not only break our own record but also to maintain a relationship like that,” Oren tells Forbes. “That's what I live for.”
Working alongside his brother Tal, Alexander’s key to success is cultivating and maintaining these friendships, putting himself in his clients’ shoes and offering help without expecting any in return. “Most important is understanding that your reputation is more valuable than any deal, because that’s how you’re remembered,” he says.

And a whisky chosen to suit the drinker’s palate always leaves a lasting impression, he says, as it’s a combination of specific, thoughtful, celebratory and, of course, exquisitely enjoyable. “I like a gift that lives a little, meaning that when they see it or drink it, they’re reminded of you,” he says. “It has to feel like you took the time to understand what would put a smile on that person’s face.”
